Bienvenue to the French heritage of Minnesota, l’Etoile du nord!  We start with the Native people who lived here before the French arrived, and go on to explore how French explorers, traders, and others came to Minnesota. Besides learning about the history of French heritage here, you’ll see what groups work today to help celebrate that heritage and you’ll find more resources to explore as well as some teaching activities.
